Despite returning just two years ago, the New Balance 1000 already feels like an elder among newcomers in the Boston brand’s catalog, a not-so-indirect result of the many new lifestyle silhouettes New Balance has introduced in the time since. Still, the brand has found ways to keep the model fresh, namely with a newer, slightly altered spin dubbed the 1000D. The 1000D differs from its parent with a sleeker upper, removing the top panel in favor of several new lines of stitched accents. This “Timberwolf” edition sports cream-colored mesh at its core, complemented by a suede mudguard and toe cap. The defining detail emerges on the “N” logos, finished with a distressed treatment akin to white paint over a black background. That same finish also appears on the heel clip and outsole. The New Balance 1000D “Timberwolf” should land soon via New Balance and select retailers, priced at $170. See official images below if these speak to your taste.
