Boston-based streetwear label Brain Child is gearing up to drop its first-ever Reebok collab, doing so on arguably the brand’s most impressive new model of 2026. The late-‘90s-inspired Reebok DMX 3000 comes back into focus following an impressive Packer-exclusive style from January, now given a striking sunset gradient look that’s as commendable as it is limited. Dubbed the “Red Nebula,” the sneaker features an eye-catching gradient that incorporates yellow, orange, pink, and purple from front to back, somewhat akin to the work of customizer extraordinaire @lorenz.og (not that anyone owns a patent on sunset colorways). Brain Child confirms the gradient is actually a reference to musical albums that shaped brand founder Doug Ansine’s upbringing. The DMX Series 3000 silhouette itself draws inspiration from the DMX Miramar, equipped with three pods of DMX moving air technology in the heel and DMX Comfort+ foam in the forefoot. Its reception has been largely positive, as has the immediate reaction to this collaboration. “As a Boston designer building Brain Child here in the city, launching this project at my alma mater, the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, is a full-circle moment,” says Doug Ansine, founder and designer at Brain Child. “This collaboration with Reebok reflects the community and creative energy that’s shaped the brand from the beginning, and I’m incredibly grateful to bring it to life at home.” Now the bad news: the Brain Child x Reebok DMX Series 300
