AZ Compass Prep's Jakyi Miles is committed to Arizona State.
Miles announced his decision today at noon at AZ Compass Prep. He will also be reclassifying to the Class of 2027. He's one of the top-ranked players in the country in his class, and he's keeping his recruitment home in the Valley.
The Rankings
Currently ranked in the Class of 2028:
- ESPN: No. 19 nationally (grade 89), No. 1 in Arizona
- 247Sports: No. 32 nationally (Composite No. 28), top two in Arizona
As Miles moves into the Class of 2027, those rankings can change — both nationally and in Arizona — once the boards update for his new class.
Why It Matters
Landing the top prospect in the state, and a national top-20 name on ESPN, is a big recruiting win for Arizona State. His commitment sends a message to Arizona's top young talent: you can stay home and play in the Big 12.
What's Next Miles will keep playing for AZ Compass Prep Eybl as he gets ready for the next level in Tempe.
